Introducing Powder Control: LED Mountain Status Board, a recent project developed for Arapahoe Basin ski resort. This radio-controlled LED sign is designed to display when specific zones of the mountain are open or closed, ultimately improving the lives of ski patrollers and enhancing the overall skiing experience for visitors. We are excited to showcase this innovative project that aims to streamline mountain safety and communication.
My contributions:
Partnered with Arapahoe Basin Ski Resort to create a brand-new digital sign alongside a group of three to provide the resort with a new way to show guests what parts of the mountain were open
Completed the task of displaying the open/close status of ski zones via radio communication from the ski patrol headquarters, to maximise the time ski patrol spent maintaining safety precautions
Waterproofed all electrical components, designed the LED housing, and created the aesthetic and functional designs
